Within our balance sheet management framework, we enter into Repo/Reverse repo transactions borrowing from/lending to selected counterparties - Banks and Non-Bank Financial Institutions only, with the collateral limited to Government of Armenia local currency denominated bonds.
Repo/Reverse Repo transactions are secured lending transactions, whereby securities are sold to/bought from a counterparty against payment of cash, and then repurchased/resold at a later date. Generally, an interest or a fee is paid to the lender of cash.
Important Note: Repo/Reverse Repo transaction terms are defined by the Bank on daily basis according to the Bank’s internal procedure. Please refer to the Bank for more information.
